I believe in the power of storytelling. From the beginning of time, humans have sat around the fire and regaled tales, scratched on the walls of caves to share their experiences and instilled wisdom through the written word. And each time, it has created curiosity in the mind of the listener, reader and viewer. Why? The wonder and excitement we experienced as children stay with us throughout life. I kindle that fire to build value and communities for brands through multimedia storytelling.
My first attempt at writing was an ode to butterflies at age ten. I realised words could fall in certain places, inherit rhythm and sound like a song. From there emerged a creative quest of trying new mediums and telling more stories. I armed myself with a degree in Architectural design and Film & Video Communication (from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad).
Starting as a part-time writer for an online magazine, I've grown from strength to strength to evolve as a brand strategist and multimedia content creator. I have designed and executed content, social, PR and/or community building strategies for global brands like Disney, Buffer, Roam Coliving, NewCampus (formerly QLC), Bizongo, About.com (now DotDash), Network 18 Group, Storytrails & ExBorders.
My core strength is communication. However, I am a good generalist with the ability to work cross-functionally and across geographies. I acquired a first-hand understanding of global business through my remote work experience. It also awarded new perspectives to my worldview helping me become a better human being and inclusive team player. Equipped with a lifelong learning mindset, I always seek to up-skill. I am ever ready to host workshops, talks and online webinars to share my knowledge with others.
Balancing my day job at Google as a Content Designer with personal creative work, I write for publications, work on side projects and am presently learning to master watercolours and the art of making a pizza.
